Essex IVC (InterVarsity Club) Social & Activity Club is a social and events group for single adults and married couples. It offers the chance to widen horizons, to have fun, perhaps try something new, to socialise and meet new friends.

It holds events throughout the year across most of the county. We regularly have meals out, walks in the country invariably involving tea and cakes, social get together and theatre outings. Other regular events include pub nights, ten pin bowling and badminton, or you could go dancing, play Scrabble or Rummikub, see a film or a play or have a game of cards.

This month we are proud to announce we held an Anniversary Ball to celebrate our 50th birthday, giving existing members the chance to meet members of yesteryear. A great evening was had by all with many old friendships rekindled and new ones forged.

As well as the regular events in May there is a Music Festival, a day rowing with of course afternoon tea, open gardens and a day sailing. Not your thing? What about ten pin bowling? Or find something you would like to do but would like someone to go with then host an event of your own.

The club is open to all those with a lively mind and sociable attitude.
