On the 15th of June the University of Manchester will be opening its doors to the local community.
Ever fancied walking on custard? How about trying your hand at making your own 3D model? Or perhaps you’d like to journey around sites of world-changing discoveries within the University of Manchester? Our free Community Festival is jam-packed with fun activities for all the family. Whether you want to get hands-on or just want to listen to some fascinating stories, we’ve got you covered.
The University of Manchester’s Community Festival showcases the cutting-edge research of one of the UKs leading Universities. Over the years the university has been home to some world-changing discoveries in Science, Medicine and the Arts, contributing to Manchester’s history as the birthplace of new ideas.
On June 15th we’re inviting you and our neighbours in the local community to go behind the scenes of the university and discover the exciting work taking place here. Join us for a fun-filled day of interactive experiments, live music and performances, behind the scenes tours and the chance to meet with our staff and scientists, and much more!
