Woodmill Outdoor Activities Centre offers British Canoe Union (BCU) canoeing and kayaking courses and much more! As a BCU 'Top Centre' we can get you in a boat for the first time, develop exisiting skills, or coach you through the BCU instructor development scheme. Our qualified instructors will have you hooked on paddlesports!

The stunning 17 acres of woodland offer fantastic surroundings for our adventurous activities which include high ropes, climbing, raft building, archery and team building challenges. Woodmill caters for all abilities, adults and young people alike, from age 8. Woodmill Canoe Shop has been newly refurbished and offers you all that you'll need for paddlesports! With over 60 demo boats from sit-on-top kayaks to whitewater creek boats, as well as all the gear you'll ever need, from cags to inflatable roof racks, we have it all!

Schools and Groups

We will tailor courses to your needs. Whether it's sailing, powerboating or team building we can put a personal programme together for you, from a morning of activities to a week course. Please do not hesitate to contact us to specify your groups needs.

Clubs and Individuals

Woodmill runs heavily subsidised Paddlesports clubs- there's something for everyone! Adult Canoe Club, Youth Canoe Club and Paddleability each have an evening session in addition to one on Saturday mornings. The membership and weekly subs covers costs of the instructors and use of our boats and equipment.
