The White Rose Polo Club was founded in 2007 to promote polo in yorkshire. Yorkshire's fastest growing HPA club aims to provide an exciting and encouraging environment for all levels of polo player, and has beautiful facilities situated just 5 mins from the M62 and 20 mins from York, including Polo Lessons which are available six days a week.

At White Rose Polo Club, we offer a COMPLETELY personalised, high level of service. Our HPA coach and dedicated staff, manage and respond to requests for information and pricing and co-ordinate logistics for our guests, in order to ensure that everything runs smoothly from the moment you arrive.

Corporate days in Yorkshire

If you are looking for a Corporate Day with a bit more diversity, then spending a day playing polo is a great way to relax and bring a team together for a fun day out. Polo corporate days and events can be tailor made to suit your requirements. All events will be made suitable for a range of options, from a motivational corporate day out to learning how to play polo to even sponsoring tournaments or advertising your brand.

No riding or polo experience is required to take part in this fabulous day. You’ll be guided by an experienced instructor and be mounted on safe, quiet ponies suitably matched to everyone’s ability.

Polo Hen Parties

Why not do something different for your hen party? Surprise your friends with three action packed hours, learning to play polo at Yorkshire’s largest polo club.

Sit back and enjoy a delicious champagne breakfast whilst our Polo Manager, Tony Wesche, provides an introduction to the sport in the comfort of our Club marquee. You will then learn to hit the ball on the ground with short hand mallets, progressing to full size mallets on ‘Woody’ the wooden horse.

The final stage is to mount the ponies and learn to ride, polo style, before being divided into teams to compete for a winning rosette. To complete this exciting action packed morning you could enjoy an optional lunch on the polo pitch, whilst a masseuse can treat your tired shoulders and hands to a relaxing massage.

For the extra twist of the day, challenge the stags to a polo match at the end of the morning. May the best team win!

Polo Lessons in Yorkshire

We offer a truly constructive teaching experience to both riders and non riders, with horses to suit all levels of experience in a friendly, welcoming environment. We have a full and varied programme of lessons, six days a week, twelve months a year ranging from one hour to a full day’s entertainment. Within an hour, you will be playing in your first chukka! Our polo lessons suit all age groups from students and children to adults.

All lessons are provided by Summit Polo under the expert instruction of HPA Coach Tony Wesche, the Polo Manager of White Rose Polo Club.
