The Royal Victoria Hotel Snowdonia is uniquely placed between Llyn Peris and Llyn Padarn, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and at the foot of Snowdon within 30 acres of our very own Victorian landscaped gardens and woodland.

We are ideally located just 15 minutes form junction 11 of the A55 coast road and approximately 75 miles from Chester and Shrewsbury respectively.

An unique feature of the hotel is having its very own castle in the grounds of the hotel – Dolbadarn Castle, the site dates back to the 6th century but most of the castle was built by Llewleyn Fawr who died in 1240. The castle is currently under the management of CADW (The Welsh Government’s Historic Environment Service) however there is free access to the castle and our Brides and Grooms will often opt to have some of their wedding photographs taken at this unique site.

The hotel is licensed for civil weddings, with a choice of ceremony rooms and two restaurants (depending on the size of your wedding party) we also have a separate ballroom for your evening celebrations. Organising your special day begins from the very first moment you contact us. Our wedding planner will be ready to advise, plan and prepare even the smallest of details to make everything go exactly as you want it to.

The hotel was highly commended at the Daily Post Business Awards in 2013 and also won the best venue in North Wales at the National Welsh National Wedding Awards for 2013. The hotel was shortlisted as one of the best five wedding venues in North Wales for 2014, we have also been nominated for a customer service award with the Guides for Brides Wedding Directory for 2015.
