The Pavilion Gardens is a wonderful historic venue situated in the heart of Buxton. Nestled in 23 acres of recently restored pleasure gardens, the main building is a natural base for tourists coming to the town.

With a wonderful Grade 2 listed building and 23 acres of beautiful Victorian landscaping, set on the River Wye, the Pavilion Gardens is the perfect setting for any event. Great care has been taken in preparing this function package in order to ensure organizing your event is as easy as possible.
We have many years of experience hosting a wide variety of events from Civil Weddings & Wedding Receptions , formal dinners for Sports and Social Clubs to more informal family gatherings and we can cater for all your needs.
A dedicated member of our management team will assist and guide you with your choice of menu's, wines & seating plan and act as Master of Ceremonies to ensure your event is remembered for all the right reasons.
Room Hire & Conferencing
We can host meetings, seminars and conferences for up to 800 people. The Committee Room can hold up to 10 people, the Paxton Suite 250 people and the Octagon can seat 800 people comfortably.
Gardens
The seven-year Gardens restoration project was completed in 2004 at a cost of £4.5m. The project was supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and achieved its aim of restoring the Pavilion Gardens back to its original Victorian style.
The Gardens are enjoyed by over 500,000 people every year and to combination of walks, lakes, play areas and miniature train ensure that they remain a firm favourite with the whole family.
The Pavilion Arts Centre
A 93 seat studio theatre (80 sqm of workshop space), plus main auditorium of 360 seats with retractable seating and flat floor exhibition/workshop space of 200 sqm, (140 Bleacher, 78 movable, 142 balcony).
The Entertainment Stage was added in 1889, soon to be known as the Pavilion Theatre and later as the Hippodrome (cinema), the Playhouse (from 1935) and the Paxton Suite (from 1979). In 1927, the Buxton Corporation acquired the buildings, gardens and pleasure grounds and the council have managed the site ever since.
