The Light is a modern, spacious and unique venue with state of the art facilities to provide an unforgettable setting for any event. Based in the historical Liver Building on Liverpool's magnificent waterfront, The Light offers beautiful spaces to cater for all tastes and needs

We can tailor your event at The Light to suit each individual; offering excellent in-house catering ranging from Champagne and Canapé receptions, through to Three-Course Dinners.



The Ball Room overlooks the Mersey and is filled by day with natural light, which provides a gorgeous setting for any event. The more intimate Music Room provides natural light and privacy and the Empress Room, which leads out onto the Ballroom, creates an impressive space for a corporate or more intimate meeting.



The Light is able to accommodate up to 220 people for reception events, or 168 for formal dining. We have a range of rooms available to accommodate many styles of meetings, from 2 people right up to exhibitions for 150. Our team can organise the room layout to suit your requirements and provide presentation equipment, flipcharts and refreshments. All rooms have Wi-Fi access and benefit from comfortable seating and a quiet location.

At The Light, we recognise that organising a large event such as a dinner, either for a private celebration or for a company or organisation, can be very daunting. No matter what the social event, whether it be a corporate gathering, birthday party, anniversary celebrations or any other social event, The Light is really the location for you. The Light provides a stylish contemporary venue with traditional standards of high quality service.

We have The Ball Room which is able to accommodate up to 112 for a dinner in air-conditioned comfort or 150 for a reception. We look to keep it simple by providing easy packages for your event. With our in house catering, we have fresh new menus for dining using locally sourced food, a lovely environment, rooms for every need and a commitment for service.
