As a regular host venue for international spectator events, the facilities at Ponds Forge are similar to those of a dedicated exhibition centre with the added benefit of a prime city centre location.

 

The venue’s International Hall is the main convention area with 1570 square metres of event space. The flexibility of the hall means it can be configured for a number of setups including conferences for 1600 delegates, gala dinners for 1200 guests and anything in between. The area also has large balconies and two adjacent smaller meeting rooms to support events.

 

In addition, the venue offers a large dedicated function room frequently used for conferences and small private dinners. The suite, which can cater for 160 dinner guests or 200 delegates theatre style, is modern in design with floor-to-ceiling windows along one wall providing plenty of daylight. The room is supported with an adjacent bar area and a large outdoor balcony.

 

The venue specialises in event management and particularly excels in creating exceptional banqueting experiences. Catering managers always work closely with organisers of every event to achieve the desired room décor and menu.

 

Ponds Forge is an active sports centre, steeped in sporting heritage providing a unique backdrop to any event. With team GB and international athletes usually in training, guests are encouraged to visit the Olympic swimming pool and diving pit on their visit. Visitors can also relax in the venue’s large café area and enjoy complimentary wifi, or work out in the centre’s high-tech gym.
