The Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club, ‘the Berkshire’, is a major polo venue in the country with an international reputation for some of the foremost polo tournaments including the Prince of Wales Trophy, the British Open for the Arena Gold Cup, Sebastian Coe Champions Day and the Victor Ludorum series as well as the Festival of Polo and the sport’s entire Winter season.
The Club is a privately owned 230-acre estate in pristine Berkshire countryside open to public and private functions across the calendar with tournaments and chukkas taking place on a daily basis across eight ten-acre pitches and an Arena. Built on the legacy of music-mogul Bryan Morrison, the Club has a distinguished social hub hosting everything from Hollywood glamour to Rock ’n Roll legends, celebrity weddings, product launches and films. The first member was Prince Charles with both the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry playing to this day.
As well as a stunning and unrivalled venue, ‘the Berkshire’s influence extends internationally being one of only a handful of Club’s to support ‘high-goal’ polo - the upper echelons of the sport with the world’s top players and teams - and a retail arm with 230 fashion stores extending from Latin America to Malaysia.
