Ranksboro Polo established in January 2005 by the North family and is located close to Oakham in the beautiful county of Rutland. Our facilities provide an outstanding venue for competitive and professional polo with a busy fixture schedule each season. We also encourage both novice and the more experience polo player to develop their understanding of polo through active involvement and qualified instruction. In addition to providing a first class facility for playing polo, we also offer livery sevices, regularly host pony club, affiliated and un-affiliated competitions and have a number of polo ponies for sale.

Polo Lessons

We offer polo lessons for complete beginners and more experienced players. You can choose any duration from a 1 hour lesson to a residential course staying at local pubs and B&B's.

At Ranksboro polo we offer a truly constructive teaching experience to both experienced riders and novice riders. We have ponies to suit all levels of experience in a friendly, welcoming environment. We have a full and varied programme of lessons, six days a week, twelve months a year ranging from one hour to a full day.

Corporate Hospitality

Ranksboro Polo is pleased to offer Corporate Event and Hospitality opportunities, where clients, colleagues or friends can learn to play polo in a safe, fun and friendly environment.

You will be introduced to the rules and tactics, the polo swing and polo riding. Then after some 'stick and ball' practice at hitting the ball from the pony, you will play some chukkas to put your new skills into practice.
