Norwich, Norfolk, NR14 6DG
Polo has a long and fascinating history and, although the White Canons that founded Langley Abbey in 1183 didn't play polo, somehow the historic setting of this former monastery makes a very comfortable home for the Norfolk Polo Club. New members, whether beginners or experienced players are very welcome.
You don't need to play polo to enjoy a visit though. The vaulted former Cellarers range of the Abbey is still standing and has recently been restored. It is free to explore, the coffee shop is open to all and our prime Langley Longhorn beef is always for sale.
Whatever your reason to visit, we know you'll have a great time!
Learning to Play Polo
Almost anyone can play polo - age, size and sex don't matter.
Learning is easy - you don't need to know how to ride and we have everything necessary to get you started. Our ponies are safe and well behaved, our instructors will be with you throughout your lesson and our full size arena couldn’t be a better place to start.
Polo lessons are £50 per hour including pony, tack and equipment, or you can book five 1-hour lessons for £200 if paid in advance.
Intro to Polo
Just £99 gets you a full introduction to the sport. Starting with a coffee and a professional presentation on the sport, then learning to hit the ball, followed by riding a pony in the arena and practising what you have learnt.
Activity Days
Polo is a team sport and it's great to try it with friends or colleagues.
Our activity day package is ideal for stag and hen parties or corporate team building.
£149 per person (for a minimum of four people) gets you a full day of polo, including coffee on arrival, lunch in the clubroom with your pro and champagne back in the clubroom after your chukkas.
