At National Forest Llama Treks we have seven male llamas, ranging from the youngest Mustard to the oldest Ande. All the boys have very individual characters, which will keep you entertained throughout one of our fantastic experiences.

What better way to explore the beautiful countryside of the national forest than with a llama? Llamas make excellent hiking companions, they are friendly inqisitive and gentle animals.

The trek begins at our centre where you will find out all about our lovely llamas, you will also have the opportunity to groom them, (our boys like to look smart before they go out) and hand feed them, a guaranteed new friend for life.

Then it's off to the trek site, approximately 10 minutes drive away, for a relaxing walk with the llamas. We make the experience as interesting and fun as possible, teaching you lots of llama facts, a little about the local history, and with our fully guided nature walks, you will find out all about the local flora and fauna hopefully before the boys eat it, they are fully paid up members of the hedgerow cafe.

We then return to the centre for a luxurious 3 course buffet style picnic including homemade cakes in our beautiful Mongolian yurt. A full menu is available on request.

Meet our lovely llamas, find out everything you ever wanted to know about llamas, and have a chance to groom them and hand feed them, then off for a mini trek with the boys.

We play lots of games, have lots of giggles even a giant space hopper race!

This is followed by party food in our traditional Mongolian Yurt (heated in winter). The party food has the 5 a day guidelines and we have been awarded the gold healthy options award for our food.
