Lakeland Llama Treks is a family run business operating from ‘trail heads’ in a number of locations near Keswick and Penrith in Cumbria. The home of Lakeland Llama Treks is the Llama Karma Kafe on the Eastbound A66 just outside Penrith.

About Our Treks

The treks are designed to be suitable for a range of differing levels of fitness or ability over varied terrain, so there is something to suit everyone - one of our existing routes is even wheelchair and pram friendly so no one is left out! The routes can be for as little as one and a half hours walking or up to five hours over a whole day for those looking for more of a challenge.

Birthday Parties

Kids love animals and parties…why not do both?

Create lifelong memories by booking an interactive birthday party where the kids get up close and personal with a range of unusual and friendly animals. The parties can include educational animal handling sessions and everyone gets a certificate of participation to take home.

See our ssssnakes, lizards, parrots, monkeys, llama, reindeer, miniature donkey and giant bunny and much more. Learn a little bit about their lives and care….followed by a healthy eating scrumptious birthday tea in our quirky Llama Karma Kafe.

Hen Parties

A handsome and attentive chap with big eyes and a personality to match….Champagne and strawberries….and a leisurely stroll along the shores of one of the Lake Districts most spectacular Lake shores. Combine this with a mouthwatering picnic and lots of fun and laughter and you really couldn’t find a better way of celebrating your last days of freedom.

The Lakeland llamas really enter into the spirit of things and not only carry your picnic but also can, if you ask nicely, join you in the age old tradition of dressing up to look the part! The llama trek takes approximately 3 hours and all the picnic and celebratory certificates are included in the package.

Corporate Trekking

This is proving an extremely popular activity as it combines a healthy, wacky and fun day out with an opportunity to socialise in an informal setting where all men and women are equal!
