Kew Gardens - Private

Richmond upon Thames, London, TW9 3AB

The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has a variety of stunning, unique and awe-inspiring venues. Kew offers a number of stunning venues for a wide range of private events. Whether you are organising a wedding ceremony and/or reception, dinner dance or canapé and cocktail reception, our world renowned gardens and iconic buildings provide the most unique and unforgettable setting for your event.

The West Wing of the Sir Joseph Banks Building is a striking subterranean space that is appropriate for both daytime and evening events. Large windows within the main room (which is supplied with wireless internet access) overlook the surrounding lake at water level, which provides a tranquil setting and natural daylight for your event. Guests enter through the private atrium, which may be used as a welcome area, whilst the building’s frontage affords a view of an adjacent lawn, suitable for an outdoor reception.

Cambridge Cottage is an elegant former royal residence, set within its own private gardens, with two large function rooms that are available for both day and evening hire.

The Georgian Drawing Room is licensed for civil ceremonies of up to 80 guests, with the adjoining Gallery space able to host seated dining for the same number.

The magnificent eighteenth-century Orangery is one of Kew's most striking venues that can accommodate up to 200 for a dinner dance.

Temperate House, the largest surviving Victorian glasshouse in the world, is currently closed for vital restoration. It is due to re-open in 2018 when you will once again be able to entertain your guests in this magnificent building.

The Princess of Wales Conservatory, famed for its rare orchids, can be hired in conjunction with another venue for a canapé reception.

Kew Gardens are situation on the south bank of the River Thames, on the outskirts of South-West London.

We encourage our guests to travel via public transport for environmental reasons. The London Underground is the best way to get to Kew from the centre or West End of London. Buses serve those living north or south of Kew (Ealing down to Kingston) and the neighbouring suburbs. From north London, Silverlink trains run directly to Kew Gardens station.
