Hippodrome Kingston opened its doors on 17th September 2009, introducing alternative nights to the previously one dimensional Kingston club scene.

One of our main focus points is to provide alternative breakthrough music and entertainment to provide a different clubbing experience. In the past The Hippodrome has staged performances from some of the music industry's most established acts, such as Vampire Weekend, The Foals, Two Door Cinema Club, Wheatus, Tinie Tempah, Example, Devlin, Stooshe, Kissy Sellout, Chase & Status, Nero, David Roddigan and Professor Green. As a venue that prides itself on diversity, we've also hosted some colossal bands including the likes of Lostprophets, Enter Shikari, The King Blues, Frank Turner and The Used with their unique brand of alternative rock music. We even have a two day prog rock festival coming back in July 2013 after last year's success.

Our Monday night is promoter led which provides a unique offering, as our promoters are the music specialists; delivering the atmosphere and fun for that much needed awesome night out. And in addition to this, through our own experience and partnerships we strive to provide an alternative and fun clubbing environment on our own Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights.

Don't miss out on the unique Hippodrome experience! A 2,250 capacity venue. Downstairs there are four Bars and Kingston's largest dancefloor , whilst upstairs you'll find our VIP room situated on the balcony overlooking the main room and it's dancefloor. Additionally, we have The Elite Room too, a smaller 400 capacity club room perfect for alternative music and of course private functions.

Our popular and well-established brands and products provide a wide variety of entertaining experiences to suit all event specifications by offering drinking, eating and late night dancing under one roof. Our rooms are already themed, and equipped with top of the range lighting and sound facilities, so all you need to do is bring the guests!

Our Sales & Events team work closely with the Operations team at each venue in order to ensure that all aspects of the event are managed and every expectation met. We work with all our corporate clients on an individual basis and tailor packages to suit all budgets, working on minimum spends and no hire fees.
