Herts Polo Club is only 40 minutes from Central London. With two main BR stations close by and only minutes from the A1 we are extremely conveniently located for all your entertaining and corporate hospitality needs.

Herts Polo Club is open year round, with play taking place during the winter on one of the largest all-weather polo arenas in the country. In addition to this there is a large floodlit indoor school available for lessons on those dark winter evenings and five full-size grass polo pitches for play in the summer.

Introduction To Polo

The “Introduction to Polo” lesson is exactly that; a two-hour introduction to the most exciting contact sport in the world. No riding experience is necessary and we supply the Coach, the polo pony and the safety equipment – all you have to do is enjoy yourself. Tuition is available all year round*.

The Polo School at Herts Polo Club is renowned for the quality of its teaching. Under the supervision of our Head Coach Martin State many of the Club’s members have been introduced to polo and have learnt the game. With a team of Coaches and thirty school ponies the Polo School runs all year round with lessons taking place during the week and at weekends. The “Introduction to Polo” lesson can be booked by an individual or by groups. The Club sells gift vouchers for the “Introduction to Polo” lesson and so if you aren’t brave enough to try it yourself why not buy it for a friend!

Experience Polo Day

Beyond its glamour polo is a tactical team sport testing the physical and mental agility of the players. Good communication skills, an ability to think strategically, react quickly and work as a team is imperative to winning the match.

To take part in a polo match is totally exhilarating and truly unforgettable. The 'Experience Polo' Day has been devised to challenge and thrill guests whilst providing the ideal forum for teambuilding and fun. The Club hosts 'Experience Polo Days' year round.
