The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway runs along a part of the former Great Western Railway's mainline from Birmingham to Cheltenham, via Stratford-upon-Avon. The line commands wonderful views of the sleepy hamlets and villages, as the it runs though the beautiful Cotswold countryside.

Group Bookings

How about organising a group to travel on one of our trains? You may have a special anniversary in the near future or you may wish to plan a surprise party for a friend or relative. Or you may be part of an association which organises special days out.

Whatever the reason, a day spent with the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway is always a great experience and if you can make up a party of 10 or more fare paying passengers, you will get a discount off your total cost. If the numbers exceed 20, this discount increases giving you even greater savings all round. If you have a coach driver, or your numbers are large enough for you to have a professional courier, they will both travel free. In addition, wherever possible your seats will be reserved for you once your booking has been made.

As part of your day's visit to the railway, we can also provide refreshments either at the tea rooms situated at Winchcombe and Toddington Stations, or if you prefer, on the train itself while you are watching the countryside pass by. School and Playgroup Visits

The GWR welcomes school groups of all sizes and all ages. We can provide fantastic learning experiences for children from reception classes through to those studying for their GCSE exams.

For some children this will be their first visit to a railway and for others it may be their first sight of a steam locomotive. Our activities aim to combine education with enjoyment and we try to tailor the visit to meet a school's specific requirements. As well as general learning for all ages.
