The company was founded in April 2004 when we thought that an alternative to the existing facility in the city was needed and the two directors of Creation went in search of an appropriate building and sufficient funding to get a new wall off the ground. The company has grown considerably since our opening day, and on the back of climbing centre we have launched our retail outlet and outdoor adventure companies, and have shares in various other businesses.

Birthdays

Creation have supplied over 700 birthday parties, many of which come back time and time again. A birthday party package can consist of anything from 4 people upwards to 50 people. Parties operate on a 1:8 ratio of instructors. This ensures that everyone in the group is actively involved in the climbing session at all times, whether they are the ones climbing, the ones belaying, or the ones backing up the belayer. This one and a half hour fun packed session consists of as many routes as possible, an abseil (if requested), and finishing with a bouldering session.

Schools

Creation has become a firm favourite with school bookings. We work very closely with the local councils and have taught over 10000 individual students in the last three years. There are huge benefits to climbing, whether it be teaching children responsibility, safety or overcoming fear. Along with the self achievement and personal satisfaction attained by climbing to to the top of our walls.

Taster Session

Interested in climbing or just for fun? A taster session is the package that we recommend. We have walls from 18 feet to 44 feet high with varying angles and surfaces so you can choose how far to push yourself, whether it be on a gentle slab or a sustained overhang. We'll supply you with a fully qualified instructor, safety helmet and harness. All you need to do is turn up wearing loose clothing and some appropriate footwear.
