Opened in 2003, Climb Rochdale is a friendly, professionally run centre offering a fantastic variety of indoor climbing. Indoor climbing offers an alternative and exciting sporting activity for all ages and abilities, and we use trained and experienced instructors to give you the opportunity to learn and develop climbing skills, keep fit and have fun.

Bouldering Induction

Bouldering is a form of low level climbing typically limited to a height of 4-5m to ensure safety and practised with the use of a foam crash pad rather than ropes to help prevent injury from falling. Booking onto a bouldering induction is the easiest way to get involved with indoor climbing at Climb Rochdale. After completing a 1 hour bouldering induction session, you will become a fully registered member of Climb Rochdale and you will be welcome to use the bouldering facilities at any time unsupervised.

Birthday Parties

Indoor climbing at Climb Rochdale is the perfect way to celebrate a birthday with friends, providing a unique and memorable experience. The emphasis of a Climb Party is to have fun in an adventurous yet safe environment. Our birthday party climbing sessions are conducted by qualified climbing instructors and include lots of age appropriate activities from bouldering and top rope climbing to abseiling. Fun is guaranteed!

Schools and Groups



Indoor climbing is a great activity to stimulate, motivate and enhance confidence outside of the typical learning environment. With this in mind Climb Rochdale has a selection of packages for schools and groups who wish to use the climbing centre for lessons and activities.

Taster Sessions

Never climbed before or only done a little? Climb Rochdale Taster Sessions are a great introduction to indoor climbing and are suitable for nearly everybody. Taster Sessions are also a great idea for anyone considering booking onto the Climb Rochdale Intro Course but wanting to know a little bit more about indoor climbing first.
