I started Caroline Gent Catering nearly 20 years ago. My passion for delicious natural food inspired me to create a business producing the best quality catering for events in the West Country. I trained at Leith’s School of Food which gave me the vital understanding of flavour, form and colour. I have travelled extensively, exploring and learning about the cuisines of France, Italy, India and Thailand, amongst others.
Menus are personalised for each client and I love the challenge of working with you to design the perfect food for your event. I do weddings, balls, drinks parties and other large-scale events across the West Country. With a dedicated team of professional, good humoured chefs and waiting staff, I regularly cater for 100–500 people.
Living in the heart of Somerset, I can source fresh local ingredients from an excellent range of reliable suppliers. Dairy products are collected from surrounding farms, all my meat is from a locally supplied farm shop and other ingredients are sourced as near to home as possible, including our lovely herb garden just outside the door.
I believe that food should be enjoyed with good friends in relaxing surroundings. My ethos is to produce something wholesome and delicious that doesn’t look mass produced, even if we are cooking for 300. Caroline Gent Catering will produce seasonally inspired, top-quality food that helps make your wedding, ball or drinks party the successful, happy occasion you want it to be.
