Get acquainted with the ancient world of falconry with this great introduction which includes a talk on the history, training, upkeep and care of the birds, and the chance to fly a bird across the North Yorkshire countryside. When you arrive at the hotel, tuck into a bacon roll with tea or coffee then head to the centre for a guided tour. Get up close to various species while an experienced handler runs through the history, maintenance and training methods used. At this point, start handling birds to get comfortable. Then fly the birds over the surroundings and right back to the glove.
