Llandrillo, Denbighshire, LL21 0TH
Berwyn Mountain Llamas is based in the lovely North Wales village of Llandrillo, on the edge of the Berwyn Mountains. Quiet lanes, bridleways, forest tracks and old drovers' roads on the lower slopes of these mountains and in the valleys provide an ideal venue for llama trekking.
You are warmly invited to come and explore this area, walking with our llamas. We would like to share this special place with you.
This is real, working countryside, with much of the landscape shaped by traditional livestock farming and by forestry. The Berwyn mountain range itself, with twenty-four summits over two thousand feet (six hundred metres), is a National Nature Reserve.
This is an unspoiled place, rich in wildlife and beautiful in every season.
Llama Trekking
Llama trekking is a leisurely way to enjoy the countryside. We don't ride the llamas, we lead them and they carry packs containing everything necessary for a safe and enjoyable day.
Llamas are wonderful walking companions, always curious and alert. They enjoy meeting our visitors and they love their work.. They are intelligent creatures, interested in everything. With their excellent vision and hearing, they are usually the first to spot wildlife. They are happy just to stand and watch other creatures, or to gaze at a view, taking in all the details of what is going on.
Llama trekking is an ideal activity for groups of friends and for families. Leading a llama through our unspoiled countryside is an experience not to be missed. There's also a good picnic, always in a location with a wonderful view. Adults have a genuinely relaxing time and children who usually don't like walking will walk all day in the company of a llama.
