Tuck into a delicious food and wine picnic hamper and watch the Napoleonic Cavalry and Infantry displays early on, then a volley of shots from a vintage field gun opens preceedings, followed by a choreographed display from Carolyn Grace in her LF Mark IX Spitfire to accompany Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance March No 4. The New English Concert Orchestra performs a raft of classical music, including Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture with live cannon fire and Beethoven's Battle Symphony (complete with 193 live cannons and muskets). Battle Proms celebrations culminate in a traditional flag waving proms finale with Jerusalem, Rule Britannia and other favourites led by Channel 4's winning soprano Denise Leigh. The evening closes with spectacular fireworks
