This classical Battle Proms concert held at Hatfield House in Hertfordshire is a perfect evening for those who love a bit of culture. With fairground stalls and a Napoleonic Cavalry and Infantry displays early on, a volley of shots from a vintage field gun and an air display from Carolyn Grace in an LF Mark IX Spitfire. The New English Concert Orchestra perform a rousing programme of classical music, including Beethoven's Battle Symphony with 193 live cannons and muskets and Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture with live cannon fire. The evening culminates with Jerusalem, Rule Britannia and other favourites accompanied by a classic flag waving proms finale and led by soprano Denise Leigh. The evening closes with a firework display
