Famed for its rolling countryside, historic buildings and ancient monuments, Shropshire is a truly stunning county to explore, and even more so by air. Hop in a Robinson R44 or Jet Ranger Bell 206 at Welshpool and head over the River Severn towards the English border. Pass Rodney's Pillar and over the beautiful town of Shrewsbury, home to over 660 listed buildings and almost entirely ringed by the river. Look down for a bird's-eye view of the Shuts and Passages, the town centre's criss-cross of narrow mediaeval alleys, before heading west past the Shropshire Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Then on to the Welsh hills and border, marked by the 8th century King Offa's Dyke, and look out for Powys Castle before landing
