IWM Duxford is Britain's largest living and working aviation museum. Home to classics like Spitfires, a B17, the prototype Concorde and a Lockheed Blackbird, it is the ultimate spot in which to fly a light aircraft. Begin on the ground with a briefing of flying and safety techniques, before climbing aboard a dual-controlled two-seater training plane with a fully qualified instructor. It's then 'chocks away' for a 30 minute flight, during which (at the pilot's discretion) take over the controls and experience the thrill of flying a plane. Once back on the ground you can learn more about the plane you have flown, along with others like it, since the experience also includes free entry into the museum itself
