For lovers of classical music, it doesn't get better than a Battle Proms summer proms concert in the grounds of Blenheim Palace. On arrival, pick up a chilled bottle of Le Dolci Colline Rose Prosecco and sit back as Napoleonic cavalry and infantry displays kick the evening off, followed by shots from a vintage field gun and a choreographed display from Carolyn Grace in a LF Mark IX Spitfire. The New English Concert Orchestra, led by Douglas Coombes, perform a set of classical arrangements including Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture with live cannon fire and Beethoven's Battle Symphony, with live cannons and muskets.
