Harp & A Monkey at North Bar Folk Club

The award winning "Electro-folk storytellers" led by BBC historian and raconteur Martin Purdy return to entertain us with their unique take on contemporary folk music. Described by the music press as coming somewhere between Bellowhead and Bjork, I see them more as being in the tradition of The Oldham Tinkers or our own Waterson Family. Doors open at 7:30pm and there will be refreshments, a raffle and guests can bring their own alcohol if they wish. All of our concerts are family friendly, no charge for children under 12 years of age.
