Arrival from 6.30pm with the entertainment starting at 7pm and will finish around 11pm. The ticket includes a 3-course dinner followed by tea and coffee as well as the entertainment.

It’s the evening of the News Reporter of the Year Award ceremony for the Bugle and the Herald. Nominations for the award are Charlie Zeal, Ollie Smith and Chris Andrews. 

Charlie Zeal and Chris Andrews work for the Bugle and Ollie works on the Herald. And for the first time the Herald has a nominee in the person of Ollie Smith for his scoop on the Fly Tipping drama. Charlie and Ollie have more personal stories to tell. Like the vicar and the bath incident, Local Vicar the Rev Roger Mee was found in the bath with Mrs McGrath. Chris reunited a brother and sister after 50 years. 

Tommy Blueberry local comedian (think Jim Bowen) was due to compere the evening but did not show up and was found dead in his hotel room by a cleaner. He is a great friend of Alan Sweetman and had confided in him about abandoning his pregnant girlfriend and leaving the area. The result of that was a terrible accident for Jackie Zeal who was very distressed and she crashed her car and died but they managed to save the baby which is Charlie Zeal.

Alan Sweetman local business tycoon is the sponsor of the event and offers to take over the evening when Tommy does not turn up.
