The Unbearable Pleasure of Being a Woman

We look forward to welcoming back Leigh McDonald & Joanna Eden with an updated version of their side splitting comedy cabaret, "The Unbearable Pleasure of Being a Woman". With hilarious, candid, poignant and irreverent original songs, this show is the brain-child of singer/songwriter Joanna and West End and National Theatre actress Leigh. Joanna was also voice coach and mentor to Sam Smith between the ages of 10 and 18. Sam is featuring at The Proms on 2nd August this year and talks about Joanna in this clip
In 2013 Joanna and Leigh had a captivated audience in Orford Church singing along, crying along and laughing.... a lot!
Careering from self penned songs to musical theatre classics we expect Orford Church to be rocking again with Brighton Fringe Award winners Leigh McDonald & Joanna Eden taking you on a turbulent flight through the highs and lows of womanhood. 
Being female can be an unbearably silly business! Joanna and Leigh manage to spend a whole evening laughing, crying and even singing about it, with candid and poignant original songs. Join them on an oestrogen-driven, emotional roller-coaster ride… from pigtails to puberty, stilettos to strollers, marriage to messing-it-up.
