In a country with an undeniably strong musical connection, we wanted our first festival in this area to deliver some of the very best blues rock in the UK; and with King King headlining, the legendary Climax Blues Band and five other very different, but striking bands in the line-up, this will undoubtedly be a great festival and one live music event not to miss!

King King are the band to beat. Glasgow’s favourite sons have already been saluted as “the best blues-rock band in the world” (Blues Rock Review), credited for “setting the blues world on fire” (Classic Rock), nominated for Best New Band at the Classic Rock Roll Of Honour and handed back-to-back British Blues Awards. They’ve proved their mettle on bills with Thunder and John Mayall, triumphed as far afield as Mumbai and taken the roof off major venues from the 02 Glasgow to Wembley Arena.

King King haven’t wasted a moment of their white-knuckle career. Formed in 2010, the band’s four-album hot-streak includes 2011’s Take My Hand (Maverick: “Tremendous”), 2013’s Standing In The Shadows (The Blues: “A sure-fire hit”), 2015’s Reaching For The Light and last year’s Live album that topped the Amazon Blues Chartand was called “thumping-good” by Classic Rock. Words alone cannot convey the musical dynamics andchemistry of this quartet and the only way to truly experience this is by seeing them live. Having said this, you can get a feel for what they are all about by having a look and listen to them playing the punchy “Waking Up” at https://www.youtube.com/watch? and vocally brilliant “Rush Hour” at https://www.youtube.com/watch?

This year's full line-up comprises of:

King King –need anything else be said!

Climax Blues Band – it’s been a long road, but one thing for sure is that the Climax Blues Band of today carries the same standard of quality as it did when the band formed back in the late 60s!

The Brew - when you see The Brew live on stage it becomes crystal clear why they get rave reviews wherever they play; a reputation as one of Europe's most exciting rock acts!

Ken Pustelnik’s Groundhogs – historically speaking, Groundhogs in their current form have been in existence for but a moment in time, yet their back story is extensive and varied!

Stacie Collins – sporting a slam-bang rock ‘n’ roll band and a hard-core honky-tonk wail, the Nashville based singer-songwriter pushes the boundaries of rock, blues and country!

Ben Poole - the twenty-eight year old is currently being described as one the most exciting young Rock, Blues & Soul artists to come out of the UK for a long, long time!

The Luke Doherty Band –since he found an old music VHS in a cupboard when he was 7 years old, featuring several Blues players, Luke is never happier than when he is playing Blues!

With this calibre of artist stepping on stage, festival goers will see top class live performances and hear a range of incredible sounds with sets that incorporate a creative mix of Blues, Rock and R & B, with a sprinkling of country in this year’s mix!

No need to worry about searching for food and drinks on the day either, there will be a range of alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages, real ales available and a varied menu that should meet everyone's taste!
